Guided tours leave the educational building approximately every 30—45 minutes starting at 9 a.m. with the last tour entering the caverns at 5 p.m. Tours last approximately 60—70 minutes. Other activities available include hiking, biking, picnicking and mini—golf. Discounted admission available for local residents, AAA and AARP members, or by redeeming cavern rack card.

Valley 4th, Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, The Harriet Tubman Cultural Center and Sincere Citizens Against Racism, will present Steps To Freedom, a presentation of the African—Americans Struggle for independence and freedom, from 1—5 p.m. on July 4 at Liberty Park, corner of Liberty and Wolfe streets in Harrisonburg.  Featured will be live music and guest speakers. Also stay for the parade which starts at 5 p.m.

The Reuel B. Pritchett Museum will feature 'A Journey from Schwarzenau to Bridgewater: Celebrating 300 Years of Brethren History, 1708—2008' through May 2009. The museum will feature a display of artifacts from the 22—year career of Louise Sayre Vakil, a local Brethren missionary—nurse to India, beginning April 24 through May.
