LURAY - Voters painted Page County red on Tuesday and ushered in Republicans to the three seats up for election to the Board of Supervisors.
District 5 Supervisor Carol Lee F. Strickler, a Democrat and the only incumbent seeking re-election, was denied a second four-year term.
Jeffery Vaughan, 51, of Shenandoah, received 917 votes, or 68.5 percent, to Strickler's 416.
