A woman accused of embezzling from the New Market Rescue Squad pleaded guilty to a lesser charge during a hearing in Shenandoah County Circuit Court last week.
Nancy Trumbo Mitchell, of New Market, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to misdemeanor embezzlement of less than $200, according to a court clerk.
The charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor, according to online court records.
