The Green Valley Book Fair is taking a page from the book of benefits. A benefit sale will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 19-20 at the building located on Green Valley Lane in Mount Crawford.
All proceeds will be donated to the families of two young boys undergoing heart operations — one diagnosed with alagille syndrome, while the other was born with hypoplastic heart syndrome.
The event is sponsored by Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren Women’s Fellowship. More than 5,000 used books have been donated to the Book Fair for this event. Purchases are made on a pay-what-you-will basis.
There will be a wide variety of used books to select from — everything from biographies, to history books, to cook books. While the books are used, they are in good condition.
“Every penny goes to those boys,” says Leyton Evans, owner of Green Valley Book Fair.
“Please come out to help two little boys that need all the help they can get.”
Green Valley Book Fair can be found a mile and a half east of I-81, exit 240.
