The New Market Rotary Club will host its ninth annual benefit Golf Tournament on Sept. 3 at the Shenvalee Golf Resort.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Hahn Cancer Center of Sentara-RMH Medical Center, the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic and the Wounded Warriors program.
According to Francis “Skip” Krobath, the tournament’s director, the fundraiser is generally enjoyed by those who participate.
“Most of the teams that played last year are playing again this year,” he added.
Krobath said he volunteered to organize this year’s event in honor of his late wife, Lynda, who was treated at the Hahn Cancer Center for seven years.
The Shenvalee Golf Resort is located at 9660 Fairway Drive in New Market. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m., the tournament begins at 1 p.m.
The entry fee is $100 per person and includes two mulligans, one red tee, prizes and a buffet meal.
