Arboretum To Host Lecture
The Edith J. Carrier arboretum will be hosting a summer “Wine and Cheese” lecture from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 29 on the Ernst Terrace.
The event will include two beverages of choice — wine or Starr Hill brews — bruschetta, and a pickling demonstration of root vegetables, according to the arboretum web site.
Brined salmon and local chicken will also be available.
Mark Thompson, Starr Hill’s master brewer, will discuss craft brewing.
Tickets cost $15; participants must pre-register at jmu.edu/arboretum.
