Blazers Beat Sherando, 72-60

WINCHESTER – Senior guard Tucker McCoy scored 25 points, and junior guard Khalil Davis added 19 as Spotswood High School beat Sherando 72-60 in a boys’ basketball game Saturday night.

The Trailblazers improved to 20-0; Sherando is 5-9.

Sophomore guard Justin Kier chipped in 14 points for SHS, which beat Sherando 72-71 in their first meeting on Jan. 14.

Jeremiah Curtis, a 6-7 senior forward, paced the Warriors with 16 points.

TA Boys 62, Liberty-Bedford 38: Senior guard Shane Brown scored 22 points to lead Turner Ashby High School to a 62-38 win over Liberty-Bedford in a boys’ basketball game Saturday in Bridgewater.

The Knights, who matched their win total from last season, improved to 14-6; the Minutemen fell to 9-8.

Senior guard Taylor Corbin and junior guard Angel Bravo added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for TA.

Freshman guard Hope Simmons added 13 points for TA.

Guard Alli Bellairs led Rockbridge with a game-high 20 points.
