HHS Volleyball Beat EMHS In Five

HARRISONBURG — Junior middle blocker Kaelen Adams had 10 kills and four blocks to lead Harrisonburg High School to a 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-13 comeback win over Eastern Mennonite in a non-district volleyball match Friday at EMHS.

 

The Blue Streaks improved to 1-1; the Flames fell to 0-1.

 

Pendleton County Football 34, Tygarts Valley 6: Senior quarterback Luke Yokum went 10-for-17 for 182 yards and a passing touchdown to lead Pendleton County High School to a 34-6 win over Tygarts Valley in a season-opening Potomac Valley Conference football game Friday in Mill Creek, W.Va.

 

PCHS running back Justice Good had nine carries for 50 yards and three touchdowns, as well as a pair of two-point conversions. He also intercepted a pass as a linebacker on defense.

 

Senior wide receiver Justin Propst had six catches for 83 yards.
