Law enforcement authorities are searching for a James Madison University professor in Bath County.

Harriet Cobb, a professor of graduate psychology at JMU, was reported missing by a family member on Sunday,
according to The Recorder newspaper in Monterey. Her car was found a day later at the Blowing Spring Campground in Warm Springs.

Search efforts are focused around Lake Moomaw, the newspaper reported. Police do not suspect foul play.

“The university community is concerned and the university is waiting for additional information like many others,” said JMU spokesman Don Egle.
