WAYNESBORO — Mike Warren went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored to lead Harrisonburg to a 5-3 win over Waynesboro in a Valley Baseball League game Monday that reverted back to the score at the end of six innings due to stormy weather.
The South Division-leading Turks improved to 12-5; the Generals dropped to 8-10.
Harrisonburg scored three runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-1 lead, and Waynesboro responded with two runs in the bottom half of the frame to cut the deficit to 5-3.
In the seventh, the Turks tacked on two more runs. Waynesboro scored three runs in the inning to make the score 7-6 with two outs, but play was halted due to lightning and rain showers. The game never resumed, and Harrisonburg went home with a 5-3 win — its seventh consecutive victory.

Bridgewater 14, Montezuma 11: Shortstop Josh Wright went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and pitched in relief to lead Bridgewater to a 14-11 win over Montezuma in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Monday at Montezuma.
The Reds improved to 6-4; the Braves dropped to 4-9.
Center fielder Kevin Bocock went 2-for-4, scored four runs and stole four bases for the Reds.
Montezuma catcher Ryan Hedrick went 2-for-6 with a home run and three RBIs, and center fielder Nolan Shafer went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
