EMORY — Bridgewater College quarterback Willie Logan had his best game in a month, throwing for 291 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as BC defeated Emory & Henry, 34-17.
The Eagles are now 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
BC scored the first 21 points of the game, all via Logan. He threw a 12-yard touchdown to fullback Nick Wimer on the game’s opening drive, ran for a 1-yard score near the end of the first quarterback, then threw a 52-yard touchdown to receiver Cliff Woodard midway through the second quarter.
Eight receivers caught passes from Logan. Cassidy Burns also caught a long touchdown, a 47-yarder late in the third quarter.
Defensively, senior linebacker Andrew Palmer’s 11 tackles led the Eagles. The Spotswood High School graduate also had two tackles for loss and a pass breakup.
Emory quarterback Kyle Boden, the second-most accurate passer in the ODAC, completed just 50 percent of his 40 attempts for 241 yards and a touchdown. He also threw two interceptions (Jack Wecker, Sonny Romine).
The Eagles return home next week to face Randolph-Macon at 1 p.m.
