As a concerned and upset/angry resident of the Summit Church Road area of Bridgewater, I feel compelled to write so that my friends and neighbors can be made aware of problems in our area.
Recently, we have experienced problems with bears, which resulted in the unnecessary mauling and death of my mother’s beloved little dog.
Telephone calls and visits to the Department of Game and Fish, both prior to and a result of this attack, have produced zero results. “We are sorry for your loss” just doesn’t cut it!
I was also informed any harm to any bears would result in an investigation, severe fines and other penalties.
If our public servants choose to sit on their behinds, warm chairs and play with their computers and do nothing when we need their help, then what good are they? I will take this matter in my own hands, protect my family, remaining pets and property and neighbors regardless of consequences and I advise others to do the same!
