Brown Edwards Announces Partners
HARRISONBURG — Brown Edwards, a regional accounting firm, recently announced the election of four new partners, including James R. Fries from its Harrisonburg office.
Fries, who is an assurance partner with Brown Edwards, has a background in working with employee benefit plans and not‐for‐profit organizations, including foundations, health care entities, community action agencies, and other social service organizations, according to a statement from the company.
Fries, who also serves clients in various other industries, such as manufacturing, utilities, and physician practices, graduated from Virginia Tech, where he also earned his master’s degree in accounting.
The other officers named partner are Betty D. Jessee in Bristol, Jeffrey G. Barbour in Roanoke and Kristie Hancock‐Clifton in Bluefield, W.Va.
Brown Edwards, based in Roanoke, has seven locations in West Virginia and Virginia.
