CLOVER HILL — Addison Bowman smacked a two-run home run in the first inning — finishing 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored — to help Clover Hill beat Luray 9-6 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Friday at Buck Bowman Park.

The Bucks improved to 21-5; the Cavemen fell to 11-15.

Also for Clover Hill, third baseman Evan Hanifee went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, and center fielder Drew Easter went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Cavemen shortstop Tanner Dofflemeyer was 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBIs.

Montezuma 5, New Market 0: Beau Banglesdorf pitched a complete-game shutout and struck out seven to lead Montezuma to a 5-0 win over New Market in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Friday at Montezuma.

The Braves improved to 9-17; the Shockers fell to 8-18.

For Montezuma, Johnny Mason went 2-for-4 with two home runs — a two-run shot in the second inning and a solo blast in the eighth — and three RBIs. Second baseman Kyle Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and shortstop Adam Brunk went 2-for-3 with a double.

Center fielder Adam Foltz went 3-for-3 with a double, and second baseman Korey Foltz went 2-for-4 with a double for New Market.
