Copy Apostles, Share The Wealth

Posted: October 18, 2013

In response to Doris Bradley, I believe the Bible (“Communists Control the Government,” Oct. 9).

Acts 2:44-45 says that “[a]ll the believers were together and had everything in common.” “Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone who had need.” That was the way they lived Christian justice. They redistributed their wealth. Matt. 6:19: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth … But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.”

No one has one penny that they did not get from someone else — wages, interest, inheritance, etc.  Some people have told me, “I earned it.”  How?  Is the activity someone gets millions of dollars for annually worth that much more than someone who gets minimum wage —$7.50 per hour?

I enjoy sharing my wealth. I am happy along with the receivers. Sharing wealth and providing good health are the best ways.
