4,100-Mile Journey Brings California Man New Friends, Money For Worthy Causes

Johnny Warnshuis and Sandy, an American Mustang, relax in the pasture at the Simonetti family farm in Mount Jackson, where they are taking a three-day break from their cross-country ride. Johnny Warnshuis meets a group of Shenandoah County citizens gathered at the Simonetti farm in Mount Jackson on Thursday. At several stops along the cross-country journey, Warnshuis has found people who want to meet him. On Thursday, he answered questions and talked to visitors for more than four hours.
