Elkton Beats Clover Hill, 12-6

ELKTON — Starting pitcher Joe Burris went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run as Elkton used an eight-run seventh inning to beat Clover Hill 12-6 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Friday night.

The Blue Sox improved to 17-9; the Bucks fell to 21-6.

Left fielder Andrew Armstrong led Clover Hill, going 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and two runs.

Stuarts Draft 5, Montezuma 3: Third baseman Ryan Cooper hit a three-run home run and pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn a save as Stuarts Draft defeated Montezuma 5-3 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game on Friday night.

The visiting Diamondbacks improved to 22-4; the Braves fell to 9-17.

Seth Berry earned the win, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Bridgewater 13, Broadway 2: First baseman Danny Grogg went 4-for-6 with a home run, and shortstop Zach Brown went 5-for-5 as Bridgewater beat Broadway 13-2 in eight innings in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Friday in Broadway.

The Reds improved 8-19; the Bruins fell to 6-20.

Center fielder Forrest Miller led Broadway, going 4-for-4 with an RBI.
