HARRISONBURG – Semifinal play in the men’s singles draw at the Harrisonburg Tennis Patrons tournament was postponed until tonight due Wednesday’s heavy rains at Harrisonburg High School.

Top-seeded Mike Hendricksen, a former James Madison standout, will face No. 3 seed Craig Westwood, while defending HTP Open champion Jeff Tang – the field’s No. 2 seed – draws recent Riverheads High School graduate Sam Willard.

The only main draw singles match to be completed Wednesday came in women’s competition, where Cindy Ferek defeated Landon Aud 6-1, 6-3 in a semifinal matchup played indoors at the Doug Will Tennis Center in Bridgewater. Ferek, a teacher at Turner Ashby High School, advanced to face recent East Rockingham High School graduate Stacie Bailey in tonight’s final. All main draw singles matches will begin 6 p.m. at HHS.
