HARRISONBURG — A fast-moving fire tore through a trailer home on Ruby Drive this morning, destroying the residence but causing no injuries.

A
woman was home at the time of the blaze, which began around 10 a.m., but she escaped unharmed.

Firefighters were on the scene within minutes of receiving the call for help, but due to the speed with which it spread, emergency personnel found the home fully involved by the time they arrived.

The fire is now out but investigators will remain at the scene for some time to try to determine what caused the blaze. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

The Daily News-Record will update this story as details become available and will have a complete report in Wednesday’s print and online editions.
