HARRISONBURG — Firefighters have just departed the scene at the RR Donnelley plant after tending to any potential hotspots from Wednesday night’s fire and investigating the cause of the blaze.
The fire began in the bale room of the Kratzer Road printing plant a little after 5 p.m., though the specific cause of the blaze has not been announced.
About 25 units and 70 firefighters from throughout Rockingham County and Harrisonburg reported to a three-alarm fire plant located jut north of the city. The plant prints books, magazines and other materials. No injuries were reported and damage to the building was minimal, fire officials said.
