UPDATE: Airline To Offer Flights From SVRA To Orlando
Frontier Will Fly To Florida City Thrice Weekly
WEYERS CAVE — Frontier Airlines announced this morning that it will offer nonstop flights to Orlando from Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport beginning in November.
The airline will offer three flights a week from the Weyers Cave airport to Orlando International Airport and the same number of flights weekly from the Florida city to SVRA.
The Denver-based Frontier will use Airbus's 138-seat 319 model passenger jet for the new service.
The airline is offering tickets for $69 each way as part of an "introductory" promotion. Tickets at that price are available for sale through Aug. 25, the airline said.
Frontier also added Columbia, Mo., to its roster of destinations from Orlando.
Daniel Shurz, a senior vice president for the airline, said the addition of the two airports brings to 13 the number of nonstop destinations from Orlando International Airport, one of the airline's primary destinations.
