Goodlatte Snubbed Sandy Victims

Posted: January 11, 2013

Rep. Bob Goodlatte voted against providing federal aid to Hurricane Sandy victims in the Northeast. I am appalled that he showed a lack of humanity in refusing to help those Americans who suffered severely from that storm.

I have always believed that Americans pulled together in times of adversity to help each other. Not only is it the American thing to do, I believe that it is the Christian thing to do.

I hope Rep. Goodlatte’s supporters do not share his views and will let him know that his action is contrary to their beliefs and values. It is essential that all Americans share values of helping each other in times of need.
