STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — A Grottoes man was killed in upstate New York after his minivan crashed head-on into an SUV in eastern Rensselaer County, according to troopers with the New York State Police. The crash sent three people in the other vehicle to Massachusetts’ hospitals.

Police say 45-year-old Kevin H. Jensen of Grottoes was driving a white 2000 Plymouth Voyager on N.Y. 22 in Stephentown Sunday afternoon when he crossed the center line and collided with a gray 2011 Lexus SUV. Jensen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stephentown is near the New York-Massachusetts border and about 150 miles north of New York City.
Troopers say 76-year-old Daniel Riesel, 68-year-old Sheila Riesel, and 32-year-old Allison Riesel, all of New York City, were hospitalized.

The Albany Times Union reported that Daniel Riesel’s condition was listed as good and Sheila’s as fair Monday night at Massachusetts General Hospital. Allison was in stable condition at Berkshire Medical Center.
