HARRISONBURG — Customers of the Harrisonburg Electric Commission can now check for information on power outages and other updates from the commission on its facebook page.

With the region facing a potentially major snowstorm in the next few days, HEC officials are urging residents to check the page for information on possible outages and other information.
If power is lost during the storm, Internet access can still be gained through smart phones, laptops or computer pads, as long as they are sufficiently charged.
