ERHS Gets No. 40
 
SHENANDOAH — Senior forward Sarah Cameron scored 20 points to lead East Rockingham High School to a 66-52 win over Page County in a Shenandoah District girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

The Eagles — who have won 40 games in a row — improved to 12-0 overall, 6-0 in the district; the Panthers fell to 7-6, 2-4.

Senior guard Jessica Lam and junior guard Katie Dofflemyer each had 13 points for ERHS.

Freshman forward Katelyn Gordon led Page — which was within five points with four minutes left in the game — with 11 points. Senior guard Caitlin Viafora and freshman guard Hannah Henry each had 10 points.

Wilson Girls 58, Luray 52 OT: Freshman guard Lexi Deffenbaugh had 27 points to lead host Wilson Memorial High School to a 58-52 win over Luray in a Shenandoah District girls’ basketball game Tuesday.

Junior forward Sable Ponn led Luray (9-5 overall, 2-4 in the district) with 17 points and 19 rebounds, and freshman point guard Michalea Nichols added 12 points.

Freshman guard Jordan Poole had 13 points for Wilson.


Page Boys Edge ERHS

ELKTON — Junior guard Tim Brown scored 19 points and senior power forward Tanner Dofflemyer added 14 as Page County High School beat East Rockingham 56-52 in a Shenandoah District boys’ basketball game Tuesday.

The Panthers improved to 11-3 overall, 6-0 in the district; the Eagles fell to 6-7, 3-3.

Junior center Joseph Gooden scored 10 points for East Rockingham.

The Hornets improved to 6-6 overall, 3-3 in the district; the Bulldogs fell to 6-8, 3-3.

Freshman center Josh Good scored 11 points to lead Luray.
