immigration reform has been needed for years and is urgent. Immigrants from all over the world built this country and continue to do so. Immigrants contribute to the economic and cultural growth of the nation.
Among other things, immigrants pay many taxes. Moreover, they do not take jobs away from Americans. In fact, immigrants generate jobs because of their need for goods and services.
That is why we need a reform that will secure the broadest possible legalization with a path to citizenship, preserve and work to advance family reunification, protect rights and working conditions for all workers and accord the responsibilities and rights required for full integration into American society.
Let’s embrace immigration reform that benefits our economy and culture.
