'Twisted' Kilt Is An Adult Bar

Posted: May 15, 2013

I strongly agree with Rita Dunaway (“H’Burg No Place For Tilted Kilt,” May April 30).

The Tilted Kilt has more in common with the Hole in the Wall than with other eateries in Harrisonburg. My objection to the waitresses’ costumes has nothing to do with the kilt and everything to do with the open shirt over a bra top. That the waitresses don’t see this as a problem is just another example of how our country is sliding down the slippery slope to total amorality.

I checked the Twisted Kilt menu online and learned that just in the appetizer category they feature classic and Irish nachos, spinach and artichoke dip, and fried calamari, none of which are traditional Scottish or Irish pub food.

It appears Harrisonburg has closed two “adult” bookstores only to replace them with an “adult” bar.
