HARRISONBURG — Two Rockingham County stores sold big winners in the Virginia Lottery’s annual New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

According to the Lottery, the 7-Eleven store on North Valley Pike in Broadway sold one of the four $1 million tickets in Tuesday’s drawing. The ticket’s number is 248216.

The others were sold in Springfield, Midlothian and Highland Springs.

And the Dayton Mini Market on Main Street sold one of four tickets worth $50,000. Its number is 364094, according to the Lottery.

The winners had not been identified as of press time Tuesday.

The ticket sold in Broadway was the second lotto purchase worth $1 million made in Rockingham County in just over a month.

A North Carolina man driving to Connecticut made a lucky pit stop at the Mr. B’s Welcome Center on U.S. 11 north of Harrisonburg in late November.

Glenn Petke, of Stoneville, N.C., bought a Powerball ticket that took the game’s second-highest prize in the Nov. 28 drawing.
