Luray Blanks Clover Hill, 5-0

CLOVER HILL – Jeff Conley tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out 10 batters, as Luray defeated Clover Hill 5-0 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Tuesday.

The Cavemen improved to 10-7; the Bucks fell to 13-5.

Right fielder Jonathan Sanders recorded Luray’s lone multi-hit game, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs.

Stuarts Draft 10, Montezuma 2: Third baseman Jay Thompson went 4-for-5, including one of his team’s four home runs, and Stuarts Draft pounded out 14 hits in a 10-2 victory over Montezuma in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Tuesday in Montezuma.

The league-leading Diamondbacks improved to 16-2; the Braves fell to 8-10.

Right-hander Ryan Cooper threw seven shutout innings to pick up his third win of the season.

The Blue Sox improved to 10-7; the Reds fell to 5-11.

Bridgewater shortstop Zack Brown finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a double in the loss.
