ELKTON — Merck & Co.’s Elkton plant has announced it will donate $40,000 to Elkton Area United Services.
The funds will be used to help pay for the purchase and renovation of EAUS’ client services building on Spotswood Ave., in Elkton. EAUS is a comprehensive social service agency serving the Elkton area.
Raul Diaz, manager of the local Merck plant, will present a check for $40,000 to the agency’s president, Joe Hammer, at the client services building next week.
“This donation will enable EAUS to allocate its regular revenues to help those in need in our community,” Hammer said. “The burden of raising money for this building and its renovations in addition for our programs has been relieved.”
