Nation takes personal leave
JMU basketball star sits out Saturday's game at Drexel after taking a personal leave
James Madison basketball star Andre Nation, who served a 15-game suspension to open the 2013-14 season for what sources said was a second failed drug test, has taken a personal leave from the team, JMU sports information director Kevin Warner confirmed on Saturday.
The 6-foot-5 sophomore guard did not travel with the Dukes to Philadelphia for Saturday's game at Drexel and was replaced in the starting lineup by freshman guard Jackson Kent.
In eight games this season, Nation has averaged team-best marks in points (17.0) and rebounds (5.5) per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field.
Warner said Nation's current absence was unrelated to his previous suspension. The length of his leave remains unknown.
