NEW: Bridgewater Man Charged With Stealing Vehicle

Police arrested Malcolm Roberts, 20, on Port Republic Road near an Exxon station at around 10 p.m. He is charged with felony grand larceny, misdemeanor property damage and driving on a suspended license.

Harrisonburg police arrested a Bridgewater man Saturday night, accusing him of stealing a vehicle. 

Police arrested Malcolm Roberts, 20, on Port Republic Road near an Exxon station at around 10 p.m. 

He is charged with felony grand larceny, misdemeanor property damage and driving on a suspended license.

Police say he was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra van, which had been reported stolen.

Roberts is being held in the Rockingham County Jail without bond.

He's scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday in Rockingham County General District Court.
