HARRISONBURG — A Broadway man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the truck he was working on rolled on top of him.
The incident happened at the Liberty truck stop off Interstate 81’s Exit 273 in Mount Jackson.
According to the Virginia State Police, Delmar L. Oscar, 62, of Broadway, pulled into the station at about 4:15 p.m. and began working on his 2005 Mack truck.
Oscar’s vehicle rolled on top of him after he slid underneath it, VSP spokesman Sgt. F.L. Tyler said.
His body wasn’t discovered for about five hours, police said.
The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
