NEW: City Launches Part Two Of Community Survey

The City of Harrisonburg launched the second phase of its community survey today.

Harrisonburg residents can go to to fill out the survey.

Responses are anonymous.

Mary-Hope Vass, the city's public information officer, said the survey will provide insight to services the city offers.

“We want to know our residents’ opinions on what we are doing well and areas that may need improvement or redirection,” said Vass.

She said the first phase of this survey was sent to 1,200 random households in the city. The surveys were sent in mid-January and the deadline to respond was March 7.

Vass said the results are still being analyzed and will be presented to the City Council later

Once a report is complete, residents will be able to view the results

Anyone with questions regarding the survey is asked to call the city manager's office at 432-7701.
