NEW: H'burg Man Dies In Rockbridge Crash

HARRISONBURG — Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Rockbridge County that killed two people, including a Harrisonburg man, Monday afternoon, according to WSET, a Lynchburg ABC affiliate.


The crash occurred at 3:45 p.m. in Rockbridge County. According to police, the preliminary investigation shows that a taxi driven by Joshua Allen Murphy, 26, of Harrisonburg, ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree, causing the car to catch fire and entrapping both people in it, the station reports.


Murphy’s passenger, Cyrus Greg Carawan, 28, of Lexington, was also killed. Neither victim was wearing a seat belt at the time.
