BROADWAY – Jamie Miller allowed four hits over seven scoreless innings to lead New Market past Broadway 5-0 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Monday at Broadway High School.

The Shockers – who, thanks to their victory, will draw Clover Hill instead of two-time defending league champion Stuarts Draft in the first round of the RCBL playoffs – improved to 6-22; the Bruins fell to 6-22.

Second baseman Korey Foltz went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to power Luray’s offense.

Luray 7, Bridgewater 5: Jeff Conley scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball as part of a four-run, ninth-inning rally, and Luray defeated Bridgewater 7-5 in a Rockingham County Baseball League game Monday at Ray Heatwole Field.

The Cavemen improved to 19-9; the Reds fell to 9-20.

Conley worked a 1-2-3 ninth on the mound, striking out two batters in the process, to also earn his third save of the season.
