HARRISONBURG — The city’s Old Town neighborhood will have its water service interrupted for various periods the rest of this week.
The Harrisonburg Department of Public Utilities is replacing three different water valves that are either broken or leaking, according to a press release from the city.
From 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a valve will be replaced at the intersection of Mason and Paul streets. Water will temporarily be turned off on Mason Street, from Campbell to Grattan streets, during this time.
During the same time span on Thursday, the city will replace a valve at the intersection of Mason and Grattan streets, turning off water on Mason from Paul Street to Cantrell Avenue.
And on Friday, also from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., work will focus on the intersection of Mason and Campbell streets. Service will be turned off on Mason from Franklin to Paul streets, as well as on Campbell from South Main to Mason streets.
