Page County is gearing up for a busy cycling season.

County officials estimate an economic impact in excess of $200,000 from events hosted by Page Valley Cycling alone, according to a news release from the Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce.

“By staging first-class races throughout the county, we are bringing to our area an increasing number of participants annually who represent an important and lucrative demographic to the county,” Chris Gould, co-owner of Hawksbill Bicycles in Luray and head of the cycling group, said in the release.
