HARRISONBURG — Most central Valley school divisions are adjusting their schedules due to the bitter cold temperatures expected tonight and Tuesday.
A wind chill warning is in effect from 6 p.m. this evening until 6 p.m. Wednesday for the entire Shenandoah Valley.
Temperatures will fall into the teens this evening, with an overnight low of zero to 5 degrees. The wind chill will be 15 to 20 below zero, with the ridgelines potentially seeing temperatures of 30 below.
In response, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County schools are on a two-hour delay Tuesday, while Page County Schools will be closed.
The Shenandoah County and Augusta County school divisions had not announced changes to their schedules as of 4 p.m. today.
