UPDATE: Plane Crashes At Airport
Virginia State Police say a plane crash landed about 2:30 p.m. at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave.
Police say a six-seater Beechcraft Bonanza 35 was attempting to land when the pilot failed to put down the landing gear. Police say the aircraft landed on its belly and skidded about 150 yards before coming to rest on the runway.
The pilot, Myron Rummel, 61, of Bridgewater, nor his adult female passenger, were injured in the landing.
Police say the National Transportation Safety Board was notified.
