Shenandoah National Park fire personnel have declared the Rocks Mountain Fire 100 percent contained today.
Parks officials say firefighters walked the perimeter of the fire site and didn't see any open flames or smoke.
But, doue to the high winds forecasted, firefighters will continue to monitor the fire area over the next couple of days.
The fire, in the South Distric just northeast of Crimora, was reported on Feb. 28. It has burned 464 acres.
Fire crews say an illegal campfire started the blaze.
The Riprap, Wildcat Ridge, Rocks Mountain and Paine Run trails still remain closed.
