Shenandoah County growers, producers and farm sector businesses are invited to participate in a new farm guide that will provide a comprehensive list of items produced in the county, according to a press release from Shenandoah Forum.
The guide will include items available from local farms and woodlots, information on farmers’ markets and farm stands, as well as information regarding on-farm produce and meat producers, farms selling hay, wool, and farm-related products.
Listing in the guide is free to all Shenandoah County farm sector producers and businesses. Applications can be completed online at http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e90hnmyyhsd7qnw3/a011vht8s8hls/questions.
Applications are also available at the Agriculture Extensive Service office in the County Government Center, the Shenandoah County Farm Bureau, the county library and local farm stores in Mt. Jackson, Woodstock and Strasburg or by calling 984-7003.
The printed guides will be available throughout the community by May, with a mobile app tentatively set for completion in September.
