NEW: 'Slow-Roll' Lane Closures On I-81 Sunday

Posted: March 11, 2014

HARRISONBURG — Motorists who plan to be on Interstate 81’s Augusta County stretch Sunday morning should be alert for northbound and southbound “slow‐roll” lane closures, the Virginia Department of Transportation said in an advisory today.

The brief closures are needed for installation of a fiber-optic line over the interstate, according to VDOT.

The slow‐roll closures will be between mile marker 213 at U.S. 11 near Greenville and Exit 205 at Va. 606 near Raphine.

Both closures will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. All work is weather permitting, and slow‐roll times are subject to change.
