WOODSTOCK — A trial date has been set in the case of a middle school teacher charged with hazing students.

Nicholas Greco, who teaches eighth grade at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School and coaches junior varsity football at Central High School, is scheduled to be tried Feb. 20 at Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Woodstock. A hearing in the case scheduled for today was continued.

The 34-year-old Maurertown resident was arrested on Nov. 14 after he turned himself in to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office. He was charged with hazing to cause bodily injury, assault by mob and seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

In a criminal complaint, Greco was accused of encouraging student athletes to haze others who had fallen asleep in class. Greco was placed on administrative leave with pay from the school division pending the results of its investigation.
