Daily News-Record

A man sustained critical injuries when a tractor rolled over him in Keezletown this morning.

Emergency crews responded to the 3900 block of Wildwood Drive shortly before noon.

Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson said Randy Clatterbuck, 60, was attempting to move a fallen tree on his property with a tractor when it rolled over, temporarily pinning him.

AirCare 5, a medical helicopter, landed nearby. The man was then flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

This is the first serious farming accident in Rockingham County this year.

Nine people were killed in farm-related accidents in 2013 in Virginia, including one in Rockingham County, according the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation.

In June 2013, a bull trampled a 59-year-old man on a farm near Grottoes.
