The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close lanes of Interstates 81 and 66 tomorrow.
The agency reports that motorists should be alert for mobile left-lane closures tomorrow morning for a mapping vehicle, along with several escort trucks for safety and traffic control.
The closures will begin at daybreak on I-81 northbound at the Augusta-Rockingham county line, and continue east on I-66 into Fauquier County. VDOT states the vehicles will then return to their starting point by using I-66 westbound and I-81 southbound.
VDOT states the vehicles will be traveling about 40 mph so motorists should expect delays.
The project should be done by 1 p.m.
