HARRISONBURG — Rockingham County has delayed public hearings scheduled for Wednesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting due to the threat of hazardous weather.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch in effect from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Thursday for the entire Shenandoah Valley.
Accumulation of 5 inches or more is possible during that time, according to forecasters.
The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors is still set to hold the afternoon session of Wednesday’s meeting, which begins at 3 p.m.
But the six public hearings, originally scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., will be postponed until the next supervisors’ meeting, scheduled for Feb. 26.
