HARRISONBURG — A portion of Stone Spring Road (Va. 726) in Rockingham County will be closed beginning Friday.
The section is between Peach Grove Avenue and Port Republic Road near Harrisonburg, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The construction is at the intersection of Stone Spring and Port Republic roads and being performed by a private developer.
The work is not a part of the Southeast connector project.
Weather permitting, work is expected to be finished Aug. 18.
Westbound traffic will follow Port Republic Road west and Peach Grove south to Stone Spring, while eastbound traffic will go north along Peach Grove and then east on Port Republic Road.
