FOREST – For the first time in five years, Eastern Mennonite University’s baseball team had a first-team Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection: senior outfielder Adam Posey.
Posey was one of three EMU selections; three Bridgewater players also earned all-conference honors on the three teams released Friday.
Setting a school record with 170 at-bats, Posey hit .424 with 41 runs, 23 RBIs and nine stolen bases in the leadoff spot for the Royals. His 72 hits led the nation during the regular season and tied him with Erik Kratz for an EMU season record.
BC senior pitcher Kyle Henshaw and EMU senior second baseman Ryan McAlister made the All-ODAC second team. Senior pitcher Nick Corbin and senior outfielder Nick Fulk represented the Eagles on the third team, along with EMU junior outfielder Kyle Armstrong.
Shenandoah swept the top honors as junior third baseman Michael Paul Jr., was named the ODAC Player of the Year. Sophomore teammate Darrell Thompson was selected Pitcher of the Year, and Kevin Anderson was Coach of the Year.
Randolph-Macon sophomore designated hitter Nicholas Maiolo earned Rookie of the Year honors.
