One Thing After Another

Heavy rains contributed to four separate crashes Tuesday evening on Interstate 81 along mile 249 in Harrisonburg. Virginia State Police say no injuries were reported due to the wrecks. The first crash occurred at about 5:10 p.m. near mile marker 249.7 when a vehicle ran off the roadway and crashed into the median. As traffic quickly slowed behind the crash, the three other incidents unfolded involving six vehicles, including three tractor-trailers. Traffic was backed up for miles.
